Laurna began working as a secretary for First Baptist Church Ramsey in 2005 after retiring from Ramsey School District. She worked as grade school secretary for 11 years and then as bookkeeper for 12 years.

She grew up in the Ramsey area, the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Ramsey High School and married her high school sweetheart. They have three children and seven grandchildren.

Laurna was raised in a Christian home and received Christ at age ten. Growing up, she attended church regularly with her family. As an adult she has served as Sunday School teacher for 1st & 2nd graders for over 30 years. She has also served as Acteen leader, choir member and helped in Vacation Bible School.

She enjoys camping, reading, quilting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
