Senior Adult Ministry

The Senior Adult group reorganized in Feburary 2006. We have a social gathering once a month, usually on the third Tuesday. We have either a potluck, cookout, wiener roast, picnic, soup supper or go out to eat. we enjoy a devotional, games and other activities when we get together.

We also had several one day trips:

Cache River, Zoo in Springfield, Lincoln Museum, Lincoln Tomb for the flag retreat and Civil War Music, Arthur/Arcola Amish Country & Carmi Children's Home

Once a month several ladies of our group prepare birthday cards for the Fayette County Long Term Care and our homebound. At Christmas, we fix a card and cookie for each resident at the LTC. Every resident also receives a valentine in Feburary.

We "pass the hat" twice a year for the Carmi Children's Home. We have also collected paper goods and personal products for them.
